  • Aged for 8 months in concrete. 12,5% alcohol.

Medium-deep lime-greenish color. The nose is quite expressive yet not particularly fruity with dry aromas of stony minerality, chalk dust, some Granny Smith apple, a little bit of flint smoke and a hint of banana. The wine is pure, quite light-bodied and fresh on the palate with somewhat neutral flavors of tangy green apples, chalky minerality, some ripe stone fruits, a little bit of wet stones and a hint of sappy white fruit. The high acidity lends good focus and intensity to the wine. The finish is fresh, lengthy and pure with lively flavors of fresh green apples, some stony minerality, a little bit of chalky bitterness and a hint of sweet yellow fruit.

An enjoyably fresh, focused and - in a nice way - neutral Mâconnais white that isn't the rich, tropical and fruity Chardonnay the region is known for. Perhaps not the most nuanced or complex white Burgundy out there, but nevertheless the wine shows that vibrancy and intensity this vintage is known for. Probably won't be a big wine even with some age, but most likely will gain some additional depth over a handful of years. Nice.
