Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 95 points

  • With the 2011 receiving 92 points, I knew I was in for a very special treat with this one. For those who don't know, 2010 was probably the biggest vintage in Tuscany in the past 60 years. It gave ripe, well-structured wines with a close to ideal balance of acidity and sugars in the fruit. So if you're lucky and you get a chance to grab this after some fire sales, you are getting a very deep and dense Brunello with tones of cranberry chocolate dessert, crunchy acidity and helluva dry tannins that give it an aging potential of unfathomable measures. Look out for this, it's gonna get freaky, son.
