  I've been waiting for the right ocassion to try this wine, and a planned cassoulet with friends who are Bordeaux lovers seemed perfect. Opened the wine about 3hrs early, and decanted immediately. A good sniff on the end of the decanter revealed lovely berry scents.
  
  By drinking time - fruit on the nose, but perhaps a bit less. Initial tase - still lots of tannin, needs a few years yet. Well integrated oak, jammy with a long finish.
