Dark, but not as purple as the 2016 Sentiers that was served simultaneously.
The nose is perfumed, raspberry cherry with a savoury note, a little oak makeup. This is open, giving, slightly padded, very good concentration.
The 2017 seemed to be the group favourite, though not by a wide margin.
Very good indeed, today, and will be for another 10 to 15 years. For the very long haul, the 2016 is my choice.
