I'm not one for rating but in this case I just have to. Sure it's drinkable (barely IMO) and while it's it's borderline off-dry, but I'd still barely consider this a dry one. However it feels like sugars were added after the fact as opposed to being overly ripe. This is not a balanced wine, but let's be honest for $8, it's not really a shock. While I can see the crowd this is going for (fuzion, yellow tail, carnivore, menage a trois, etc.) there are plenty of better dry wines in the same price range that actually have character and don't use sugars to try and cover up their flaws. I'd go so far as to say, the majority of the Charles Shaw range is a better "value". With that being said, it's still not the worst wine I've ever had, by a long shot (not sure if that's a good or bad thing though) I'd still prefer never to have to drink this again. Is my rating harsh? Perhaps, some may think so, but when most scores start at mid 80s, you know most scores are inflated. Buyer beware!
