This is a spectacular wine: port-like Shiraz aging very gracefully. Black fruit, nutmeg, and wet black earth on the nose. Plum, overripe raspberry, concentration, and balance lead the way on the palate. Tannins are fine, integrated, and beautiful even while being a bit rustic and grippy, even after 10 years aging. This is a hedonistic, warm, and enveloping wine that can carry away a meal that would overwhelm most wines. Long finish. Fantastic. ...also need to add that this wine develops a beautiful smoky, aged-cigar note on the nose after breathing for a few hours...spectacular and splendid.

Very comparable to my wines, this one is really well balanced, with very nice fruit forward style, and good balance of acid and tannins. 20+ second finish. Nice.

Bottle allowed to breath for an hour and a half before pouring. Very deep concentrated floavors of black fruit, raspberry, spice, coffee, leather and damp earth. Deep, inky color that stained the glass. Long legs. Vanilla and carmel flaovrs on palate. Very well integrated wine that is quite elegant compared to most over the top Australian shiraz. Both bottles we drank were consistent.

Sadly it appears this particular bottle was corked. First time in a long time I've experienced this situation with any wines.

Ripe red fruit with solid acidity and minerality. Very food friendly. Soft tannins at this stage and easy to drink.
