A thoroughly enjoyable bottle of wine, with tell-tale Manseng wicked acidity, and the current 'en vogue' vague minerality that some producers are trying to tease from the grapes, but frankly it lacks a bit of concentration for me for it to be truly special.
Whilst some could argue this is because it is in a leaner style - indeed, it split the room when consumed - ultimately it came across as 'mean' rather than lean for me. Which if nothing else will give me future pause for thought when considering repurchasing, as this is an expensive wine for the quality, and certainly I don't think it warrants the price tag when judged on it's merits alone.

A not dissimilar wine to Cauhape's Geyser, though slightly bigger, and, I suspect, built more for ageing in mind (pure speculation from me though, information is thin-on-the-ground).
Very citrusy, with bright acidity, not too cloying. Very fresh.
Not convinced it is 'worth' so much more than the prevailing competition - Camin Larredya's La Virada, Montus PdVB sec, several of Cauhape's or Clos Lapeyre's wines though. Time will tell as to whether it will fill out and gain a bit more complexity.
