Slightly jumpy. Maybe the alcohol, or the acidicity, certainly not the tannins. Vague raisins, clear cherry. Might not be able to ID it as an amarone in a blind tasting. Might think of a blend, maybe with Cab Franc and Syrah in it. Serviceable and not bad at all, but not your typical Amarone. Banfi, who co-owns Bolla now, calls it an intentionally different Amarone. Well, maybe so, but if I want to more acidic, tannic wine, I would rather go with their Brunellos.

Very light for being an Amarone. Medium body, clean taste of cherries and slightly complex.

Mature red. Cherry pips and earthy notes. Spicy palate with balancing tannins. Alcohol very evident.
