  On pnp, whoa. Dark, almost black, with rich back fruits, cedar and subdued acid Soft tannins and long long finish. This will be amazing once it opens up.
  
  After an hour of slow ox in bottle, this just got better and better. Classic rich Cal cab from Merryvale in its prime. So rich and now soft, but it's all still there even if the acid has faded a bit. This is stain-your-teeth stuff and reinforces why I collect and age wine. For all the dead soldiers that I end up mourning for having waited too long (and there have been many), this tells me that patience can be a good thing.
