Maison de Montille bottling, is it the Chateau de Puligny Montrachet parcel or the older negocient business? I thought it was overripe at first, asked to see the vintage, and very surprised to see a 2014. Sweet and hot (like really hot at throat), I was thinking of 2018; there is some reduction that opens up gradually. Balanced on the nose, classic Meursault, yellow fruit, oyster shell, minerals. On the palate there is some oak, deep and profound, yet again, sugary and alcoholic. I do not doubt the winemaking here for a negocient bottling. I would have scored this 92-93 if not for the overripeness. 91
