  Color: Beautiful shimmering garnet
  
  Nose: This is really lovely. Soft, perfumed scents of violets and roses, ripe plums, vanilla and a bit of earth lurking in the background.
  
  Palate: Silky, mature and balanced with some soft tannins on the finish. Plums and red fruits. Very enjoyable if not terribly complex. Fairly light bodied and elegant for an '84 Napa Cab. No alcohol heat. Label states 13% abv.
  
  I wish Napa cabs were still made in this style. This has aged beautifully and is still going strong at 34 years of age.
