  • for the price this is a very good desert wine, sweetness and weight has increased since the last bottle was consumed and the gewurt nose has moderated some, still going strong and looking forward to tasting the next bottle

  • wow, this was good with lemon tart and strawberries. Lychees and muscat sweetness on the nose and palate it was very much like a gewurt without the pepper and tasting sweeter. Flavoursome and full and musky Great value for a desert wine and I am buying another to cellar

  • Still under cork, unbelievably; perhaps the target market for this wine (their best seller?) is suspicious of the ‘cheap’ image of screwcaps. Ah, love the irony… Goodness knows what grapes go into this; a whack of Gewurz to judge by the nose, a lot of Crouchen to judge by the acidity, and plenty Sultana if the sweetness is any indication… The single biggest gripe I have is the flabbiness on the palate; a bit of backbone and the florid pot-pourri nose could precede a spicy-food-friendly palate that would be acceptable enough. As it is, there are too many things missing, although in fairness, those who like a bit of sweetness but don’t want soft drinks will find it a perfectly undemanding and acceptable drink.
