Ah, love the irony… Goodness knows what grapes go into this; a whack of Gewurz to judge by the nose, a lot of Crouchen to judge by the acidity, and plenty Sultana if the sweetness is any indication… The single biggest gripe I have is the flabbiness on the palate; a bit of backbone and the florid pot-pourri nose could precede a spicy-food-friendly palate that would be acceptable enough. As it is, there are too many things missing, although in fairness, those who like a bit of sweetness but don’t want soft drinks will find it a perfectly undemanding and acceptable drink.
