  Opened for 3 hours. Color is bright deep red/purple. On the nose : Cassis, lavender and graphite. Smells warm if that makes any sense. On the palate: Tart cassis and cherry, plum, bit of spice and blood. Mouthfeel is mid-weight. Needs time. The longer it’s open the smoother and better it gets. I think needs a 4+ hour decant. I like to buy a 3 bottle case of this when I can find it. This is the 5th bottle I’ve tried of the wine, first of this vintage. I like the concept and the historical reference.
