  • Sourced from multiple vineyards throughout Washington State, Camaraderie's workhorse Cabernet Sauvignon is the product of Don Corson's skillful blending. The 2014 is a deep-to-opaque crimson wine that is very forward with characteristic Washington tree bark aromas. Backed up with cassis, blackberries, eucalyptus, pipe tobacco and vanilla, it is a full-bodied, freshly acidic offering with plentiful sweet tannins and a fair amount of oak. Little is written about this small (3,000 case) winery's blending percentages or oak use. That said, I suspect that American oak is at least partially employed, given the eucalyptus and creamy vanilla that come forth on the palate. The flavors otherwise are spice and black fruit-dominated and the middle palate is dense. Concluding with a minty, medium-length finish, this is a quality Cab at a very fair price. Enjoy it over the next decade. Drink now-2029.
