Decanted 1 Hr. Deep Purple in hue with legs indicating the stated 14.8% alcohol. I get muted earth and tobacco on the initial nose with dark fruits coming through. First taste gives me a creamy plum taste/feel. Maybe some vanilla as well. Not as bold as I was expecting, but pleasant nonetheless. Three bottles left in cellar; will try again next year.

This wine has really come together in the past year and has the right bones to allow several years of further aging. Good balance, extraction and ripeness showing all the hallmarks of the varietal. If blind, I would have said this was a young Hermitage. I'd take that as a compliment. Enjoyed with a nice Stilton.

Tannic and tight to start, but opened nicely. Blueberry, currant, Cocoa & tobacco flavors. Excellent now, seems like it still has more age ability
We are going to save at least 1 of the remaining bottles until 2032...just seems like it will keep getting better.

WS: Subdued and compact, with medium-bodied cherry and peppery dill flavors. Best after 2019. 1,355 cases made. — TF

VERY fruit forward. I drank this way too early. Needs a good 3-5 more years in bottle.
