not blind classical Jura Chardonnay in nose and palate. Reductive, precise but the vinatge 2015 was too hot. A bit lack of acidity and 14,7 % alc are noticeable. Perfect too short grilled salmon. 91

Crisp but not without body, lemony and sharp acidity but more ripe fruit than many other Laget chardonnays. Full on and very fine at the same time. Needs food.

The ever so informative back label says 14,5%, that catches my attention but that glimpse of a second is about how long that figure stays in my mind while drinking this wine. Very balanced from start to finish. A bit more polished acidity than usual with Labets wines (at least this young). The fruit feels sun kissed and quite mature, mostly various shapes of lemon. Smoke and minerality stays in the background on both nose and palate. I'm personally not a fan of too racy acidity so this is very much in my ballpark. Long aftertaste, full profile. Of course young and tightly screwed so there's a lot more to expect with 5+ years in the cellar. Reliable and superb, as always.

Less exciting in its youth compared to the other 2015 wines I’ve had from Labet (Varrons and Lias). Balance and underlying material is fine so probably just needs time.

Lean and precise. Strong minerality, a bit yellow fruits and some Jura funk.
