  • Well in the grand scheme of things - verging on being a 3 year old, 2017 Pinot Noir from France - this wine is now just starting to lose some of it's previous green and intensely fruity youth. Things are just beggining to open up deliciously, with hints of far more to come.
It looks decidedly pale garnet, almost a pink, but it's most definitely watery red in the glass.. The aroma, though still tight, is predominantly floral, with ripe strawberry and faint raspberry red fruits. The florality is superbly striking, conjuring dried rose petals with perhaps just a little geranium muskiness too.. The taste is quite superbly familiar. The wine tastes and feels how quality young, fruit driven, village red Burgundies from great vintages should. The tones of soft, ripe, red fruit and typical gentle tannins are quite delicious... again the by now familiar florality with mouthfuls of rose and petal flavours are simply superb. Wait for this one to develop if you can resist it now.. Cheers!

  • Un pinot acide et astringent manquant de maturité. Peu plaisant à boire, même en mangeant.

  • Translucent ruby in color, this wine has a linear nose of tart cherry, black tea and strawberry. The mouth feel is light bodied and shows brisk acidity, cherry pit and defined minerality. The finish is very well balanced. 12.5% abv.

Purchased for $19US, this is an outstanding qpr. It is an excellent example of quality fruit and superior winemaking. It clearly shows its place of origin.
