Over two nights. Good to go after being opened for an hour or so. Purple in colour, red berries, boysenberry and some spice. Really rather special. 94-96+

Oldest vineyard in NSW. Dark purple colour. Light aroma of dried fruit, pepper. Sweet plum, cherry, blueberry. Smooth subtle fruity tannin. Well balanced. Fantastic wine, great now, will improve.

Tyrrell's 2018 Red Release Tasting: Dark cherry, blackberry, violets and smoke with redcurrant and earth as well. Detailed, long, fine tannins and fantastic texture and depth. The fruit is dark and serious but it still has a pretty tone to it. Delicious - this wine is a superstar in the making and maybe the best release of it that I've tried.

Incredible perfume - exotic, tropical fruit top notes. Elegant, midbodied, surging acidity, red and blue fruits tightly coiled, chalky tannins, good sustain.
- Picked 2 February; - Matured in one year old 2700L French oak cask for 15 months; - 13.5%; - 300 dozen made.
