  • Nice pale gold. Very pithy, zesty, mineral. Bruised apple, spice, lanolin, funk. Seriously good structure with solid acidity, some body and I even get a bit of wood tannins on the tongue. Bone dry. Seems to be in more of a closed phase than my last bottle two years ago. Opens up on day two with some waxiness, honey and dried fruit. Nice length! There is complexity here, and great potential. For now it needs air or, preferably, time in the cellar.

  • 92 Amarillo limón. Nariz varietal, lanolina, cítricos, ceras, muchos matices. En boca es intenso y largo, tiene un amargor intenso, buen equilibrio y es glicerico. Buena mineralidad. Es un estupendo vino, en un momento muy bueno.

  • PnP. Very light golden. Restrained nose of apple, pear, baked lemon, honey, some chenin funk. No obvious oak. On the palate there is more apple, pear, some peach, honey, some mineral. More fruit skin than flesh. Length is very good. The wine is dry. Acid is medium plus. No alcoholic heat. A very elegant and quite complex Vouvray with great length. Doesn’t have the intensity or botrytis character you will find in some Savennières.. Such a versatile grape! It should keep well and likely improve. A decant is recommended according to the label, and it would probably be a good idea.
