The funk that previously presented as a yougurty cotton candy was subsumed under a more gun flinty, green pepper note that seemed out of place. Quite a bit of bottle variation on these. Still a lovely wine.

TASTE: high acidity; ripe papaya; oak; hint of bitter orange peel; really got going about 2.25 hrs in, losing some oak in favor of the fruit and a supporting fuzzy mineral note; 13% alc. not noticeable; developing, but still seemingly on the upswing. Still rockin' on Day 3, with no signs of degradation. Drink or Hold.

Reductive, Burgundy style Chenin with delicate acidity and soms white fruit aromas. At its peak

Un bon chenin, tres expressif, encore du bois, noisette, un petit volatil qui ne me derange pas trop mais qui en a dérange certain.
