"mediterranean" rosé from Rhone varietals. this particular iteration is based on Cinsault (60%), with the rest Grenache (17%), Syrah (12%) and Mourvèdre (11%), all from the Apalta vineyards.
it's light-bodied and a pale peach/salmon colour in the glass, with a fresh red-fruit nose that has some whiffs of greenery and spice. in the mouth is light, clean, refreshing and uncomplicated. a basic quaffer without much to distinguish it…
…or to finish drinking in anticipation of the main fare.
