  Had this one 3 nights and my impression was the same each night. This Syrah had a little earthiness to it, like an old world wine that I was not expecting. The red and black fruits were there right behind the earthiness and very little to no pepper. It had a medium finish. I had a Fenaughty vineyard Syrah from Donkey and Goat 2 years ago that was really good and I don’t recall there being any earthiness to it. All in all, the this was a good wine, but I guess I was expecting more.
