Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 87.3 points

  • Medium ruby, some garnet in color
Medium plus intensity of developing notes on the nose of toast, cedar, dried cranberry, red cherry, raspberry with some stewed black plum, game, possible leather.
On the palate dry, high alcohol, medium plus grippy tannins, high acidity, medium body, medium + finish and medium + intensity of primarily red cherry with some toast, cedar, dried cranberry, and leather present as well.
This is a very good wine with potential for further ageing and likely will be entering its best stretch starting in 3-5ish years.

  • Fruity on the nose and light ruby on the eye. This wine is austere, grippy tannins, juicy, steely with sharp edges. A hint of sweetness to it. Not a complex wine or to be confused with anything from the Chianti or Tuscany appellation. Very light. True to the region.
