Showing it's age, which is not usually an issue with 5 Rows, so maybe it's the bottle (I have 2 more to try). Deep gold, and the tropical flavour and vibrancy that I expected was replaced with mellowness and restrained fruit cup, which might sound like an insult but reflects the indeterminate tropical fruit blend notes. I don't think that I'll leave my others long.

PnP. Pale lt. yellow with an unmistakable pinkinsh tinge that wasn't in the 2017 vintage. However, the nose and flavour profile are similar. Tropical fruit nose. Flavours of mango, lychee and papaya with hints of wet stone. Crisp and fresh with nice minerality. Citrus and mango notes on the med long finish. Good with planked halibut and a great sipper. Just delicious.

Partial spontaneous malolactic fermentation took place in the barrel-fermented portion of wine. The thicker skins are evident in the pinkish-gold colour and unmistakable texture of this wine, which also features aromas of apricot, baked peach, honey and vanilla. - from the winemaker
