Nice mature Chilean Pinot, with sour cherry, rhubarb, rubber, clay, and some mustiness too. Probably a year or too past its peak but still enjoyable well integrated and smooth for a Pinot at the price point.

Rather light red color, almost burgundian but not quite there. A little bit of heat on the nose, with scents of shoe sole, light tobacco, a little hints of dates (not the most exciting nose). Firm grip and solid in the mid palad, with flavors of tobacco, black pepper and grapefruit. Medium finish. A little bit disjointed in character and flavors. Lacks integration and any sense of texture. Old world style. Not a total lost effort.
