  • {cork, 14%} Deep ruby/garnet still. Jubey notes on the nose, some red jam, black fruit. Rich ripe character manifest on the palate too, which is thick and dense, low in acid, with medium/high powdery tannins. There’s a heaviness to this I wasn’t really expecting. Medium/full body. Tangy spice, a bit confected perhaps. Hardly traditional for Italy, but perfectly fine in its own right. That said, it’s not terribly interesting or complex at the moment. Perhaps wait, but I’m not totally confident.

  • Evolved very nicely over 2 hours. Worth the wait to let it sit for the 2 hours. Concentrated flavors of dark fruits, cedar and mint. Long finish; integrated tannins; velvety. Drinking well right now.
