  Deep rubyfading to an almost violet rim. A big nose of Plumb, cranberry, green pepper, herbs immediately come from the glass. A medium length chalky mineral finish leaves gritty tannins. This is a deeper, darker, more robust chinon than most. I recommend it more as an interesting version of Chinon rather than an outstanding or even typical example.

  Deep, opaque color with purple red brim. Young, pleasant nose with notes of black currants, some herbs, a little oak and a touch of white pepper. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, fruity, with oak character, nicely integrated tannins, nice acidity and notes of black currants, plums, herbs and a touch of green paprika in the finish.
