Elegant and refined wine packed with red currant fruit and plenty of spices. Floral and a lovely purity in both nose and palate but also a good refined depth. Overall a wine in a lovely balance.

Gosh this might be better than the terrific 2017 for all the same reasons, as reflected in the notes below. Perfect with B'steeya, presenting moderate spice and perfume and gentle red berries and rhubarb, bridging the savory and sweet elements of the dish. I don't see much point in holding this more than medium term.

Intensely floral nose with red berry and exotic spicy notes as well. On the palate cranberry, allspice and a hint of tobacco. Firm acidity lends the wine juiciness, in spite of its floral and spicy character. Medium tannins. Fairly long. Beautiful wine. I’m thinking 2-3 years before the next bottle.

I found this a bit dull compared to the Soldaat and Pofadder, but still a fun wine. Did not make a detailed note.
