This didn’t quite do it for me. An interesting and unusual white blend - not a Rhone blend - from a winery who focus on blending, whose top wines are blends. The Chardonnay was there providing depth, but the Sauvignon blanc fought witht it and didn’t create a harmonic whole. The oak was there, but again didn’t quite fit with the higher acid varieties. Interesting, but not quite cohesive (B/B+).

A white Rhone blend Aromas of wax, yellow orchard fruit, peach, candied lemon peel, smoke, white flowers. Also bruised yellow apples — made made in a somewhat oxidative style Medium bodied with a rich texture Excellent length Medium to medium+ acidity (I always worry with white rhone blends that they’ll be flabby and hot, and this was neither) A very good wine best drunk over the next 5-7 years

Clear medium gold; clean medium nose of grapefruit, blossoms, lemon, apple and brioche; dry; high acidity; medium alcohol; full body with oily mouthfeel; medium plus flavour intensity; palate is slightly tarter with ripe lemons and grapefruit dominating; long finish; drink now or in 5 years; Rhone meets new oak - excellent wine
