They applied for organic and invested in a new winery as well. The organic may take a while to realize via the label because they just did a big purchase of land. Lively and clean and fresh.
The winemaker is female.
Fresh and crisp and a little limestoney and a little salty at the end. One year in oak.
Monthelie used to be very rustic - not destemmed and lots of oak but that is not the case right now. Now is a new generation of growers changing things.

Dark forest fairy tale. Elegantly earthy, soft cherry laden salts. Beautifully refined and terrific entry into Burgundy.
