Part of a West Coast Syrah night with my wine group. Some had this as their favorite. Very enjoyable, full bodied, medium length finish. I think this will improve with another year of bottle age.

dark purple core with ruby edges and medium-plus body. whiffs of violets and charcuterie accent the nose of dark berries and plums and garrigue. dense and rich in mouth, the fruit flavours unfolds in layers in the mid palate accented by herbal spice, licorice, and pepper. a good acid vein and fine tannins provide additional texture. very long finish.
approachable now with a good decant and entering its drinking window, this should gain in complexity and likely elegance.
14.9% AbV; from three different vineyards with very different growing conditions; vinified using three different techniques; final blend was aged for eighteen months in French oak (65% new).

Grosse matière, corsé et dense.
Sur les mures et la réglisse avec
un peu de poivre et d'herbes.
Hyper long et persistant.
Très bien.
