  • This took a couple of hours to open after decanting.

Lots of brambles to start with, then the cherry and oak shone through with a bit of green leaf. Acidity was still firm with well integrated tannins. Lovely finish.

  • Clear bright cherry on the nose, tomato leaf, perfumed florals.
Good depth of fruit on the palate but hot alcohol on the mid palate and finish (15% on the label) and a fair bite of tannin mean this isn’t really ready yet. Will see how it fairs night two.

Much much better night two and perhaps helped by being a little cooler. More depth of flavour and loses the alcohol burn and harsh tannins

Will let remaining bottles sleep for a few years more
