Lovely. Drinking very well right now. Aromatic still plenty of tannins. Some Anise and berries. Complex and elegant. Wish I had more. Would drink now, may not improve more with time. No need to gamble, as it is delicious today.

Medium core with lighter rim. Some red fruit. Pungent, earthy and high acidity in the mouth. Tannic finish, not at all together or remotely harmonious. $120??? You've got to be kidding. This would be equally anemic at a third of the price.

An Interesting Array of Young Nuits St. Georges ([Mostly at] The Wine Club, San Francisco): Medium red with slightly lighter edge. Gamy pungency with earth and red fruit on the nose. Back to a more normal weight after the outsized Gouges Vaucrains with crisp acidity. Very, very nice but hard to taste in this sequence. Would have shown better early in the tasting alongside the lighter, more feminine wines.
