Pnp'd and enjoyed glass by glass over 6 hours. Initially dark red and juicy on the nose and palate. Three hours in and the fruit turned decidedly darker, black. Rich, low register cassis, menthol, oak. Seemed a bit like black plum fruit at hours 2-4. But not stewed plums which are not my fav. Quality fruit and winemaking on display but I wonder how this one would play out in 5 more years? There's plenty of time left if you want to hold them

Solid but weird bottle.....pnp'd with an odd disjointed fruity nose and palate. After an hour or two it smooths out and comes together...the fruit profile remains red/blue and high toned, with a slight smoky, oaky finish. It's sweet and with good matching acidity and rounded smooth tannins. Best glass at 3+ hours was the last glass.

Liked the Bijou du Roi better--didn't bowl me over as I had hoped.
