DG 02/2018 We had difficulties in the past with some of his cuvées that we found austere and too young; at the same time, I also have good memories from other bottles with more bottle age. As always with this producer’s wines, a rock-like minerality dominates and is the backbone of the wine; we found this particular bottle especially floral with notes of fresh roses, lilies, orange blossom, violets and lavender; it also reminded us somehow of baby cologne; ripe lemons and limes, cranberries, and out-of-season strawberries; a balsamic touch, and some celery and fennel (but not in a obtrusive way), along with a hint of cumin. Very juicy texture and very refreshing acidity, we found it a lot more interesting than other vintages we've tried of this cuvée that were considerably more strict and vegetal; we enjoyed it a lot. 91pt

Lots of bruised apple on the nose and palate. Cider like. Not as good as the 100% Arbane tasted side by side with the 100% Petit Meslier a few days ago. Interesting style of wine making.
