We love Burrowing Owl wines, though this one is a bit disappointing, even with a few years of bottle age. Quite juicy and lacking in elegance. Powerful on the nose with notes of cedar, leather and juice berry candies and cherry blasters. Some sweet vanilla and milk chocolate too. Palate shows surprisingly soft tannins and warm alcohol. Perhaps out of balance. Flavours of jammy black fruits, candied red berries and milk chocolate. Good length. I don’t think this improves with more time.

Consistent with previous note which I disregarded in terms of hold time.
Great fruit with Okanagan sage and some blood and iron. Structured and integrated. Fresh balanced tons of complexity and delicious. Beautiful now tons of life ahead.

Très bon Syrah du BC, très typique avec bon caractère et belle trame tannique arrondie qui se termine sur des notes de cerise noire et cuir.

Consistent with previous note. Nicely integrated and balanced and not showing the alcohol.
Sour cherry and herbal nose.
Grippy on the palate with sour cherry herbs tar and bitter amaro notes.
Nice lingering sour cherry and herbal finish with a touch of smoke and black pepper. Will hold onto my last bottle for five years.
