Heater week; 3/8/2024-3/17/2024 (Chicago, IL): Served single blind. The least favourite amongst the group of four, and it was pretty much unanimous on that front. Not entirely certain that this bottle was as sound as the others, as the fruit here does show a little more mature and less mineral and precise. More diffuse and less acid and mineral cut than the other three wines; nevertheless delicious, but just couldn't stack up to the other bottlings tonight.

Consistent with notes a year ago but with much more resolved and delineated fruit on the palate. Very drinkable and balanced wine with layers of texture and complexity and a long finish. Drink 2023-2030. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 92.

Opened and let air / warm up for 20-min ahead of lemon-turmeric grilled chicken. Pale golden color with a green hue. The nose brings white flowers, apricot blossoms, orange rinds, lemon curd, kiwi-lime, saline, and dusty chalk. The palate is medium, round, concentrated, and juicy, bringing tangerines, peaches, apricots, lemon-lime, salted almonds, salted caramel, and shortbread cookies into a 60-sec finish that lingers like a tropical fruit basket in the back of the mouth. This is exceptional, but still quite early as it was hard to delineate the fruit notes on the palate. The nose and finish are the best parts of this wine right now. Drink 2024-2030. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 93.

Really delicious right now...classic Grand Cru burgundy. Beautiful color with soft acidity. Drank with shrimp & fresh corn over couscous. Will it get better? I'll try another bottle in a year or two and report back.

Chardonnay Tasting: Floral, citrus, mineral, concentrated. Quality Grand Cru Chablis that is drinking quite well now.
