This showed really well and surprised me - 89%+ Merlot with the rest Malbec, Cab Sauv and Petit Verdot. Dense, dark ruby in the glass. Forest floor, brambly fruit, dark cherry, dried mushroom and a touch of ground coffee emerge on the nicely defined nose. The palate displays amazingly rich texture, sumptuous dark fruits and excellent balance. This a classy Merlot blend and great value. Drinking well now. My pick out of the current Vintner's Reserve releases.
