Probably my wine of the year. Perfect place in the drinking cycle. Something tropical (papaya maybe?), lemon, apple, caramel beginning to show. Acidity remains high, but well integrated. Ditto for the unnoticeable alcohol levels (14.2).
A side note - Porter Bass vineyard (In Guerneville) is the home to one of John Raytek's first projects in winemaking, and the style is quite similar in the best of ways. Definitely seek this wine out and buy to age, as it is very hard to beat this at the price.
