1,070 bottles produced. Bottled May 23, 2019. 100% Boal grapes. This Madeira was aged in an old 650L American cask using the traditional "Canteiro" system. A light brown tea with a distinctly yellow edge. The nose has some traces of old wood varnish and broth. Beautiful acidity from the get go (and even at 8.82 g/L it feels higher) and low on the sweetness scale. Plenty of caramel, roasted almonds, saline and spices. I love the intensity and how seamless this is all the way through the very long finish. It begs me to have another glass and who am I to say no. 93 Points
