Big dense and concentrated brimming with ripe Cherry Berry dark fruits. There's certainly some acidity in tannins that need to shed to show this even better but it is still approachable and enjoyable now. Nice and concentrated and very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Jean-Luc & Paul Aegerter, Réserve Personnelle, Pommard, 2018: This wine is one of the first kosher cuvées for négociants Aegerter, along with a Hautes Côtes-de-Nuits and a Gevrey-Chambertin. Burgundy, and even more so quality Burgundy wines unfortunately still are quite a rarity in kosher so these three certainly are a welcome addition. Deep ruby red towards magenta in color, with on the nose lavender, dried rose petals, freshly picked raspberries and red currants as well as hints of tilled earth and smoked wood. Medium-bodied, with medium intensity. On the palate, subtle notes of juicy tart raspberries, red currants and pomegranate seeds, followed by loamy earth and minerals with hints of saline notes, as well as a hint of orange zest and shitaki mushrooms, medium-plus acidity, with refined tannins that rise, drying out the gums on a long, elegant and savory finish. Classic, well-made, feminine Pommard with great purity of fruit. 13% Abv. Slightly “raw” at the moment yet approachable but best 2023-2032, maybe longer. 92

good ripe concentrated pommard. Not at the level of Lescure, but still a good Pommard. Worth trying and getting. I will retry soon
