  • What an interesting wine 12 years on the lees bottled in 2019. It has a sparkling wine nose of brioche and yeasty bread dough. Palate is quite the opposite bracing acidity and apple, lime, almond. Finish is long and full. Really cool expression of Austrian Reisling. 92 points.

  • Beautiful expression of Austrian Riesling could have gone another 10 years. The fruit was mainly tropical and citrus in nature, but the complexity came from the minerality of the wine singing.

  • Deep gold/brass color. Decanted for 1.5h before meal. Lovely aromas of loads of minerals, petrol, some medicinal bark, just ripe fresh apples, baked apples, a bit of cloves. Palate w lovely minerals mixed w fresh and baked apples, petrol, medicinal bark, mild ginger, clove, some other baking spices,. Excellent acids on a medium+ body. Nice finish of savory, woody spices, fruit and minerals. The texture on the wine is broader, less incisive and less steely than dry German rieslings. It's not a criticism and more an observation. But the wine is very complex now but it also feels like there's more underneath. Hopefully I can keep my hands off until it's 20th birthday in 3 yrs. I think there will be more upside. But it's complex and delicious now

  • 14 months after the prior: Decanted 90 min before serving. The note immediately below describes it well. Again, lovely saline characteristics. Highly distinctive and very enjoyable over two nights.

  • Yellow. Some high toned petrol, tropical fruit, and citrus. Medium weight, completely dry. Fascinating guava jelly and lemon peel, brisk acidity, and excellent minerality. Less forward and evolved on the palate than the aromas suggest.
