  • Other tasters appear to be a bit disappointed in this wine, but not me. I actually think it is quite lovely. Certainly looks the part, with a deep golden yellow color. I grant you, it does seem a bit thin to look at. Still, the nose is fine, waxy, lees, honeyed apple, and is well apparent from outside the glass. And, it has good weight on the palate, as well as fine fruit of sweet apple. I quite like the long, honeyed finish. 5-13-16-8: 92.

  • Solid Chablis. Tart lemon flavors with almonds and some hints of white pepper on the finish. The wine is a bit angular and not particularly lush or round. Perhaps this will evolve into a more balanced package with a few years of cellar age.

  • Patrick Piuze makes mildly reductive and creamy Chablis that are nice to drink young. Tasted blind – Reductive and waxy array of mellow tree fruits and ripe lemons. 1er Cru weight with expressive fruits. Ripe notes but not concentrated fruits, reminds me of 2016 whites. 2016? Chablis 1er Cru? A nice and cheaper substitute for Raveneau / Dauvissat. (84/100)
