A beautiful nose features green papaya, guava, vanilla and lime zest. Stoutly medium in body with a broad stature, the balance is exceptional and the acid neither too bracing nor too lenient, creating a constant tingling sensation. It's a textural triumph. The flavor profile includes a barely sweet and slightly salty combination of lime, green mango, guava, smoky flint minerality and barrel spice. A killer now in its aggressive youth, it has the bones to develop maturity over the next five to eight years.

This is a STUNNING Sauv Blanc of a very different breed for WA state and the debut vintage of this addition to the Long Shadows line-up. No gooseberries, no kaffir lime leaf, no citrus basket, no muskiness, no searing grapefruit, no big dominant flavors. And probably no stainless steel. Rather, more in the elegant French style, a symphony of low tones with subtle oak spice and minerals that carry into a long finish.
