  • Juicy, dark, dry, elegant, both charming and vertical. Good stuff, vintage handled well here. Very classic.

  • Very good considering its moderate price. Shared in social situation after the meal. Very balanced, you can feel its quality and nice to drink.

  • Although young, it is difficult to resist this already, as it is rich, with plenty of plummy fruit to balance out the soft tannins and acid. It will be interesting to see if it will age gracefully, or if the stuffing just won't be there for the long haul. I'd err on the side of popping the cork now and enjoying its vitality.

  • Slightly closed on the 1st day, but on day 2 it really opened up. Very pretty nose of black cherry, blackberry, leather and lavender. Mouth-coating, fine tannins, good acidity and a long finish. Will age beautifully. Great PQR.

Owner Benjamin Hessel was received by the French president Emmanuel Macron's head sommelier after writing a letter to the president about the devastating effects of climate change on biological viticulture. After having him over for a degustation, the head sommelier went on to buy several cases of this wine. I understand why.

2022-2030+ Lecker!
