A very dark colour; quite heavy and slightly bitter fruit, a bit rustic and with a rather thick texture. Better with food than without. Perhaps it will improve with time, but for now I am inclined to think that Mourvèdre is better in a blend.

Tasted during Caviste, UK, Zoom tasting of Waterkloof wines. This is a limited production, not generally available in the UK. Dark maroon, almost black in colour. The nose is earthy, herby, with thyme. The palate is quite big, smoky, velvety and lingers in the back of the throat for a long while. I liked it.
