  • Bought this wine in summer 2020 at the winery and since then in my cellar.

I agree mostly with the other TN from Necowine. It is a very dark wine with ripe cherry, some prune, some fresh herbs(?).
The nose is a tad overripe. There is also a sensation of wood and the wine has still plenty of tannins.
And then there is this big hole in the midpalate that really leaves me hanging there...

Maybe you could compare this wine with very ripe Merlot? Anyway, I am not sure if I will buy this again.

  • Color: “the wine-dark sea.” Lovely dark cherry nose, wet leaf underneath. Rich, slightly spicy dark fruit turning leathery and finishing with dark chocolate. Dry finish, and while there’s certainly a lot of tannin here it’s diffuse and nonobstructive, and though still young there’s plenty of expression. “Dark” the keyword here, especially in comparison with the 2013 I had a few months back. Not enough Lagrein experience to know which is more typical, but while I’d take another ‘13 over this today or probably even 5-10 years from now, this one is plenty delicious too.
