IMHO after trying side by side, it is much better than the Gevrey-Chambertin. Dark ruby color. Explosive spicy velvety dark fruit, dark red fruit bouquet. Medium bodied with concentrated fruit flavors of spice, dark red fruits, dark cherries, almonds, dark strawberries. Velvety mouthfeel. Concentrated, complex, delicious with loads of fruit, loads of acid, and lots of tannins. Long tannic finish. Best from 2023-2033, possibly longer. Very good. Delicious. To me a big step up from the Gevrey Chambertin. I need to try this side by side with the Lescure Pommard which is also stellar (and probably better).
