Aromas of strawberry, plum, earth and minerals. Also seemed to be a bit of Dr. Pepper and also some white pepper on the nose. Initial fruity impression on the palate and then the earthy/minerally component emerged and stayed through the aftertaste. After 60-90 minutes, soy, milk chocolate and meat juices were present, also. Fruit began to fade after 2 hours in the glass - seemed at its best between 60-90 minutes. Good wine, especially for $7.99 - lots of flavors.

Alicante bouschet is the grapey grape in this wine, which is "garnacha tintorera" in Spain. Deep, purpley-red in color, this wine has aromas of grape and blackberry, and a simple, low-tannin palate of blueberry and jammy cherry with a bit on stone underneath. Simple, quaffable, inexpensive. Good for pizza and spaghetti and meatballs.

Primary aromas of soft barnyard. Dark red fruit and black pepper on the palate. Nice, tart acidity. Much better with food than without.
