Thought this was a bit disjointed and not great example of Dry Creek. Some bramble notes and dark fruit that was tight on open and got bit better after about an hour and half decant. Still think Trader Joe's Dry Creek Zin gives it a run for its money especially for QPR (TJ's $13)

The longer it was in the glass the better it was. Classic Dry Creek Zin profile. Raspberries, coffee, plums and cinnamon. Long, moderately complex finish. Actually worked very well as an accompaniment to some grilled mahi-mahi with peppers, artichokes and sun dried tomatoes. Great QPR at $17 a bottle.

Wine Access Decanter club. Paired with hard and blue cheese. Held up well, especially to the stronger blues. Decanted an hour.
A: Dark fruit, leather, tobacco
T: Follows nose - prune, blackberry, surprising amount of fruit for the tannins
